It's more than a song we sing. It’s our heartfelt response we give to God that places value on Him.

Bill Johnson

Worship is what we were created for.

Why does the Lord invite us into a place of worship? The Lord, in His mercy, designed it for us to find our fullest expression in life standing before Him accepted, delighted in, and ministering unto Him in thanksgiving and praise. God always chooses the best. If God, in loving us, chooses to design us as worshippers, then what's the point? You always become like what you worship. There’s nothing He could want more for us than for us to become like Him. With that in mind, He designed us to be a worshippers.

In our history at Bethel, there was a line drawn in the sand where we said, "This is why we’re alive, this is our supreme responsibility, our great God-given opportunity to be those who minister to the Lord." As a church, our entire ministry grew out of that priority. Most everything we've ever learned, we've learned as worshippers.

Worship: The Supreme Call

Bill Johnson
We're designed to respond to God's presence with worship, and as we do so, we are continually transformed into the likeness of Jesus. T hanksgiving and praise are necessary sacrifices, but in worship, we ourselves are the living sacrifices!

Worship: The Postures of Praise

Brian & Jenn Johnson
In this interview with Eric Johnson, Brian and Jenn teach on the lifestyle of worship and encourage us to engage in the different postures of praise found in the Bible. Just like King David, we're invited to find God's heart and develop an affectionate connection with Him.

Worship: Faith, Freedom & Work

Jeremy Riddle & Eric Johnson
Eric Johnson and Jeremy Riddle share their insights into the key role faith plays in our worship to the Lord. Faith isn't simply mental acceptance of theological ideas, rather it has a physical expression in our actions. Faith is central to worship because without it, we can't please God. Let's step out of fear and into faith as we worship God in spirit and truth!

Worship: The War of Peace

Bill Johnson
Bill Johnson explains the sacrificial nature of praise and thanksgiving. Scripture says that we enter His courts through gates of praise. When we praise the Lord even when it's difficult, we give Him an offering that becomes an access point into His presence. Let's go through the gates!

Worship Expressions

Our worship community, worship rooms, prayer house, and dance and flag ministry are some of the many ways we express our love for God. At every service, our worship teams usher in the presence of God. We hold Worship Rooms every week for individual or corporate time in the presence of God. For a quiet and peaceful place to be in contemplative prayer, our Prayer House and its surrounding gardens is open 24 hours a day throughout the year for people to encounter the presence of God. Another avenue of worship celebrated in our community is our dance and flag ministry–powerful physical expressions that reveal God’s heart with no words.

Bethel Music

Spontaneous praise often erupts in the presence of God. Our worship teams serve us and help write the songs that bring out the best in us to give the best to him. Bethel Music started in 2009 to steward the songs coming out of our house and our worship leaders. Today, its songs are shaping global worship culture. We invite worship leaders and musicians to come grow at WorshipU, an on-campus and online school we host each year that includes amazing teaching sessions by Bethel Music leaders as well as passionate worship services.
