Although the current Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM) DVD Curriculum is only available in English, our goal is to eventually have the material translated into several different languages. Revival burns in our hearts and the desire to see God move in all nations continues to grow with every day.
Several people have inquired about translating the DVD Curriculum into their native language in order to start schools of supernatural ministry in their own countries. If it is your desire to translate the DVD Curriculum, we would love to partner with you. However, in giving permission for the curriculum to be translated we want to ensure that the translations will be of the utmost quality, readily usable and able to be reproduced for sale.
As you can understand, the accurate translation of the material is not only important for the reasons stated above, but also so that the core values and beliefs of Bethel Church are translated correctly. Incorrect translation can lead to misunderstandings of our religious beliefs, culture, and it can even lead to heresy. One of our missionaries was misinterpreted during a live speaking engagement. She said, “It is an honor to be in the presence of so many Giant Killers!” The interpreter said, “It is an honor to be in the presence of so many big murderers!”
For this reason, we want to take the utmost precautions to make sure the party wishing to translate the DVD curriculum has the ability to do so accurately and also, that they have the necessary resources. There are approximately 60 class sessions of our main speakers alone, each about 1.5 hours long. We are only requiring that you translate approximately 60 of the 112 class sessions, and we will provide a list of the required sessions. Accurately translating the material will be a time-consuming and tedious job.
Please make careful consideration before undertaking this project; it will require a great deal of time and commitment to produce a professionally translated product. Bethel Church and the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry take great care to produce products of excellence and we want to continue to uphold that standard.
If you would like to pursue translating the DVD Curriculum into a different language you must first complete the following requirements:
- Purchase the DVD Curriculum package.
- Translate the Lecture Notes from the 1st class session, number 1001 with speaker Bill Johnson. This must be typed on a computer.
- Remove the English audio from the correlating DVD, number 1001, and overlay your audio translation. For the DVDs, another option is to leave the English audio and add subtitles in your own language. The videotape and soundtrack must be well done, the picture must be clear and the sound must be good.
- When the material is completed, email an electronic file of the translated Lecture Notes to: amyj@ibethel.org. Then, send a paper copy of the translated Lecture Notes and a copy of the translated DVD to:
