The writer of Hebrews described Abraham as a man who was looking for a "city which had foundations, whose builder and maker is God." Abraham experienced more of the reality of New Testament theology than many who have lived after Jesus. He lived and saw from what was inside of him. Abraham experienced and understood the healing, provision, and substitutionary grace of God, and he searched for life that embraced all of that and more.
What is in our hearts affects what we see. This message challenges us to look from what is within us and to join the ranks of those who will search for what is yet to come.
