iGive
Those who call Bethel their "home" church regularly give a tithe to the Lord. The word "tithe" means "tenth" and it is a way of honoring God with the first 10% of our income.
In addition, we give offerings to the Lord. General offerings are the most helpful to our ministry as the leadership can direct them to the place of greatest impact. However some are led by the Lord to give into a particular area. Click here to be directed to a description of the headings.
*Tithe
Those who call Bethel their "home" church regularly give a tithe to the Lord. The word "tithe" means "tenth" and it is a way of honoring God with the first 10% of our income. It enables all of us to succeed in His personal and corporate call on our lives. Tithing is one of the Lord's tools for ushering us into a generous lifestyle. We also give offerings in addition to the tithe.
Benevolence Offering
These offerings are directed to crisis in people's lives. P.O.C. is an acronym for "Pastor on call". This is our local team that responds pastorally to the many who drop in or call us from close by and around the nation. Many are touched by their ministry and want to give something back.
Building/Bethel Expansion Projects Offering
In the last several years God has transformed Bethel from a local church into a global apostolic resource and sending center. But with a sanctuary that only seats 950 people and more than two-thousand people from all over the world, joining our services on an average weekend, we have a huge challenge ahead of us and we need your help! Our five-year plan is to construct a large world outreach center on our property with multilevel parking.
In the interim we are purchasing a building located on Caterpillar road, about seven minutes from Bethel Church where we will move our media and streaming departments, our web team and our Jesus Culture ministry.
We are also leasing another building on Twin View Bvld, just four minutes from Bethel Church. This building has a 650-seat sanctuary that will be the home of our second year school of ministry during the week and become an additional location for Bethel Church to meet for services (it will replace the Simpson site). These buildings will dramatically increase our local ministry capacity as people who become Christians and live in the greater Redding area will be able to find a spot at church while still increasing our ability to impact the world with the message and ministry of the Kingdom.
The total cost of acquiring and remodeling both of these buildings to meet our basic needs is only 1.7 million dollars. We need $200,000 dollars of this money by June 1st and the remaining resources over the next eighteen months or so. Would you join us in making this transition by praying and giving to this project? We are extremely grateful for all your love and support.
