The purpose of the Pastor on Call ministry (POC) is to bring life and freedom to those who call or stop by the church during the week for prayer and encouragement.  Our volunteers share the love and power of God as they minister to people all over the world, encouraging them in the truth of God’s Word and contending with them for the victory they need.

Volunteers are here to pray with you Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, at (530) 255-2066.

POC is not a counseling ministry.  We do, however, work in close partnership with other ministries at Bethel Church, often referring people to the Healing Rooms, the Transformation Center and Community Life for further ministry and support.

Healing ministry teams are also dispatched through Pastor on Call to visit those in the local hospitals who would like prayer for healing.  To request this service or to get more information about volunteering in POC, please call (530) 246-6000, extension 1449.
